A bypass road around Bukhara, linking Samarkand-Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi and Guzar-Bukhara-Beineu motor roads, has been recently commissioned.

In the course of road construction 110,600 cubic meters of earthwork were carried out, over 94,400 tons of asphalt were laid, and one bridge was built.

The new ring road meets all international standards. The capacity of this four-line, 20-meter-wide road is up to 15,000 vehicles per day.

The road is intended for reducing traffic flow in Bukhara while redirecting the transit transport stream to detour the city. This will certainly decrease the level of urban air pollution and will bring more comfort for the citizens of the ancient city.
