The Lower Chamber of Parliament of Uzbekistan gave the first reading to the law in draft “On amendments to Code of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility in connection with strengthening of liability relating to traffic safety”.

The elaboration of this law in draft is necessitated by certain activities aimed at improving the legislation system relating to traffic safety and traffic rules violation preventive measures. The law is based on the best practices of foreign countries where penalty applied to violators of traffic rules is rather tough.
