From July 15th in Uzbekistan the new requirements to the content of first-aid kit in a transport vehicle have come into effect.

The new list of mandatory medical accessories to be present in any transportation vehicle for emergency cases was approved by the order of Health Minister on June 22, 2011.

While compiling the first-aid kit content the experience of European and CIS countries was taken into consideration. The revised list consists of 17 items prescribed for emergencies and includes accessories used for treating of severe external bleeding, for bandaging and CPR(cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

First-aid kit should be fixed in the place designed by car manufacturer. In case such places are not provided by the vehicle design, the first-aid kit should be located in any easily accessible place.

It should be noted that in accordance with paragraph 7.9 of Appendix No 3 of the Traffic Regulations non-availability of the first-aid kit in a transport vehicle is one of the conditions which forbids the vehicle operation.
