Sedan GSVEM project is scheduled for 2011

Uzbek-American JV “GM Uzbekistan” will launch the project on manufacturing of new business-class sedan model GSVEN in the second half of 2011. The production line for manufacture of the model will be installed by General Motors on the territory of Tashkent Aviation Production Association named after V. P. Chkalov (TAPOiCh).

The new model was designed by the engineers from South Korea and Brazil.

The total cost of the project is $136 million and it is to be completed by 2013.

According to the feasibility study the line will manufacture 100,000 cars annually. Half of this number is intended for export to the CIS countries.
